What early access means
Does it actually build the feature, or just plan it?
It builds it. You get working changes to your marketplace to try, not a document describing what someone could build later.
Which AI subscription do I need?
An Anthropic Claude subscription is what it works with today. OpenAI support is next, and further providers will follow based on what customers ask for. You connect the subscription you already pay for, and the builder works through it rather than selling you separate credits.
Will it change my live marketplace on its own?
No. You try each change first and decide when it is released. Payments, credentials, security and production data stay under your control throughout.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. You start with a plain-English description. Having someone technical to review larger changes is still worth it, especially around payments and permissions.
How is this different from a general AI app builder?
General builders write generic applications and bill per credit. This one is built around Sharetribe’s transaction processes, listings, roles and payouts, and runs on the AI subscription you already have.
